Saw Company is a Christian company that was started in 1955 by
R.D. Anderson. We started small with a big idea; to provide a
good honest tooling service for the growing Los Angeles industry.
We started sharpening locally in Torrance, CA just servicing construction
sites and walk-in business. Over time we grew immensely.
Today, we distribute for many different companies and sharpen
everything imaginable. In 1967, R.D.’s son Ray took over
the family business and it is still growing under his guidance.
Now, the third generation is in training. Ray’s son, Shad,
will be next to head Anderson Saw Company. Many of our employees
have been working for us for over twenty years!
In our business, you have to have an edge. Our edge is our experience,
knowledge and excellent customer service. We know what works and
what does not work. Our employees read the industry magazines
and keep up with current trends, technologies, and new products.
In fact, we were the first sharpening company to be an exhibitor
at the AWFS woodworking show way back in 1981. We also have the
latest in automated, robotic machines on our production line.
(See
Picture). This machinery is ultra-precise and allows
our blades to out-run the competition.
However, great machinery means nothing without great employees.
Quality service is something all of our employees think about
daily. In fact, they frequently cross-train in each others jobs.
This allows the production employees to see our customers and
how they use the tooling. It also lets our field service employees
to understand what the production folks go through each day. Even
the folks in the office get the opportunity to work trade shows
and make sales calls!
We have the ability to serve the largest of companies to the smallest.
All with the best service and a personal touch. Since we are a
"blade broker", we have the ability to get you the best
product for your application at the best price. Everyone knows
that one company does not make the best of every tool. We have
long time customers that test new products extensively so we can
be sure we are selling a good product. We do not just sell the
lowest price, throw-away tools, but educate our customers as to
the difference between "price" and "cost"
so that we can give them best value for their money.
